Critical Alerts for Dispatch Notifications

Overview

The Roshal Provider app uses Critical Alerts to ensure you never miss an important dispatch or order notification. Critical Alerts can bypass Do Not Disturb, Focus modes, and silent settings on your phone, so you’re always reachable for urgent work.

How Critical Alerts Work

iPhone

Dispatch and order notifications use Apple’s Critical Alerts system, which:

Plays a sound even when your phone is muted or in Do Not Disturb
Bypasses Focus modes (Sleep, Work, etc.)
Appears immediately on your lock screen

All dispatch notifications are also marked as Time Sensitive, ensuring they break through scheduled notification summaries and display prominently.

Android

The app includes a dedicated Dispatch Alerts notification channel with:

High importance level
Do Not Disturb bypass enabled by default
Custom vibration pattern for urgent alerts

Notification Sounds

Different notification types have distinct sounds to help you identify them quickly:

Android users can change notification sounds by going to Settings → Apps → Roshal → Notifications → Dispatch Alerts → Sound.

iOS users can not change notification sounds for Roshal notifications.

Order Notification Behavior

To avoid disrupting you while you’re actively working, the app adjusts notification priority based on your current order status:

Situation	Notification Priority	Behavior
No active order	Critical	Breaks through Do Not Disturb and Focus modes
Order in progress	High	Does NOT break through Do Not Disturb
Active order completed	Critical	Queued notifications deliver with full priority

This means if you have an order in progress, incoming order notifications will be delivered quietly. Once you complete your active order, any pending notifications will be sent with Critical priority so you don’t miss them.

Setup

iPhone

Open the Roshal Provider app
When prompted, tap Allow to enable Critical Alerts
If you missed the prompt, go to Settings → Notifications → Roshal Provider → Critical Alerts and toggle it on

Android

Open the Roshal Provider app
Go to Settings → Apps → Roshal Provider → Notifications
Ensure the Dispatch Alerts channel is enabled and set to Override Do Not Disturb

Automatic Settings Detection

The Roshal Provider app automatically checks your notification settings each time you open it. If your settings aren’t configured correctly to receive Critical Alerts, the app will prompt you to update them. This helps ensure you don’t miss important dispatch and order notifications.

Simply follow the on-screen prompts to enable the recommended settings. The app will only prompt you once per day if there’s an issue.

Troubleshooting

I don’t hear notification sounds

Android: Notification channel settings are locked after they’re first created. To reset them:

Uninstall the Roshal Provider app
Reinstall from the Play Store

iPhone: Check that your Ringer and Alerts volume is turned up in Settings → Sounds & Haptics.

I’m still missing notifications

Open the Roshal Provider app
Go to Menu → Help → Tools
Use Send a Test Notification to test delivery
