Why am I not getting Calls/Texts/Notifications?

If you’re not receiving dispatches from Roshal (via call, text, or push notification), this article provides steps to troubleshoot common issues and test your setup.

🔍 Common Reasons This Might Be Happening

Sometimes the phone numbers Roshal uses are marked as spam or blocked by phone settings or carriers. Start by checking the following:

1. Call Blocking & Silence Settings
  • Ensure “Silence Unknown Callers” is turned off
    • iPhone: Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers

    • Android: Look for Blocked Numbers or Call Blocking settings

  • Disable any third-party call-blocking apps
2. Do Not Disturb (DND) or Focus Mode
  • Swipe down from the top of the screen to access Control Center (iPhone) or Quick Settings (Android)

  • Make sure DND or Focus Mode is OFF

3. Carrier Settings & Call Forwarding
  • Check your carrier’s settings for call forwarding, spam filters, or carrier blocking

  • If unsure, call your provider’s support line and ask that they check if the Roshal phone number is being blocked for calls or delayed from sending text messages. Some T-Mobile users have reported that a reconciliation/reactivation needed to be performed by T-Mobile and then notifications started working properly again.

4. Test with Another Number
  • Have a colleague try calling or texting you to verify your device can receive calls/texts from unknown numbers

5. Restart Your Phone
  • A simple restart can refresh your network connection and resolve temporary delivery issues

🧪 Send a Test Dispatch

After verifying your phone settings, send a Test Dispatch to see if your changes worked.

Option 1: Send yourself a Test Dispatch

If you are running the Roshal Health app version 2.6.2 or higher, you can send yourself a test dispatch/notification.

In the Roshal Health app:

  1. Go to the Menu tab at the far right
  2. Tap on Help
  3. Select Send a Test Notification
  4. Pick Send

This will send you a Call, Text, and Push Notification.

Option 2: Ask Your Manager to Send a Test Dispatch

Ask your manager or Roshal Support to send you a test dispatch.

For Managers:
  1. Go to the Roshal Admin Portal

  2. Navigate to: Setup > Employees

  3. Select the employee experiencing issues

  4. Click SEND TEST DISPATCH (top right)

This will send a Call, Text, and Push Notification to the selected employee.

⚠️ Still Not Receiving Dispatches?

If You’re Not Receiving Texts or Calls:
  • ✅ Move to an area with better signal (outside, if possible)

  • 🔁 Restart your phone

  • 🚫 Make sure you’re not blocking the Roshal dispatch number: 831-400-3321

    • You may need to contact your cellphone provider to make sure they are not blocking this number

If You’re Not Receiving Texts only from Roshal:

  •  You may have accidentally opted out of receiving text messages from Roshal. To opt back in, text "Start" to the Roshal dispatch number: 831-400-3321

If You’re Not Receiving Texts or Calls only from Roshal:

  • Contact your carrier. Cell phone service providers sometimes block calls/texts. You will need to call them to address this issue.
If You’re Not Receiving Push Notifications in the Provider App:
  • ✅ Move to an area with better signal

  • 📶 Disconnect from WiFi (some networks block push traffic)

  • 🔁 Restart your phone

  • 🔔 Check app notification settings:

    • iPhone: Settings > Notifications > [Provider App]

    • Android: Settings > Apps > [Provider App] > Notifications
